Apartment List is looking for a superstar visual designer to help us solve one of the biggest problems that exists today. We spend ⅔ of our time in our homes and apartment searching is brutal. We are looking for a rising star who is focused on making a true impact on people’s lives by improving the entire process for renters.

The ideal candidate will:

Keep it clean - have a passion for people which manifests in clean, intuitive, and modern designs that solve users needs and desires.

Be Mobile First - 70% of our traffic comes from mobile and you’ll have experience designing for users on the go.

User Centered -  understand and meet business goals by advocating for the best user experience that will achieve success all around.

Be Pixel Perfect - demonstrate excellent visual design chops with some knowledge and a good eye for UX design; "pixel perfect" is music to your ears

In addition, we would like our candidates to:

- have at least 5 years of design experience, with at least 1 year designing for mobile.  

- be fearless by taking on new and innovative design approaches in an effort to build world-class applications.  

- be able to work quickly and efficiently in a startup environment, and enjoy collaborating with a team to bring the best ideas to light.  

- work well with engineers and product managers, and leverage design communication techniques to help facilitate the product development process.

- have an end to end mentality
